Honda Indonesia Cemas Akibat Banjir yang semakin membesar di Thailand.Sejak Minggu lalu pabrik mobil Honda di Thailand harus menghentikan sementara produksinya.
Honda Indonesia, selain mengimpor beberapa model – khususnya sedan dari Thailand, seperti City, Civic dan Accord, juga harus mendatangkan komponen untuk model yang dirakitnya di sini, yaitu Jazz, Freed dan CR-V.
Jonfis Fandy, Direktur Pemasaran dan Layanan Purna Jual, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), saat dihubungi KOMPAS.com mengaku khawatir dengan kondisi di Thailand saat ini.
“Sampai kini, kami belum mendapat kabar pasti. Kelihatannya ada (gangguan pasokan) karena sudah libur 2 hari. Kabarnya supplier (komponen) juga harus menghentikan produksi. Mudah-mudahan (stok komponen) masih aman,” lanjut Jonfis.

Minggu lalu Bloomberg memberitakan, pabrik Honda di Rojana Industrial Park yang memproduksi 240.000 unit mobil per tahun harus menghentikan sementara produksinya. Padahal, Sepember, pabrik ini baru berproduksi secara penuh setelah Jepang dihantam gempa dan tsunami Maret lalu. Penyebabnya, tanggul kanal Khao Mao ,melindungi kawasan industri tersebut jebol.
Sebenarnya, pabrik atau perakitan mobil di Thailand umumnya berada di Provinsi Chon Buri dan Rayong. Namun perakitan harus terhenti karena tidak mendapatkan pasokan komponen yang dibuat di Ayutthaya, yang menjadi pusat pabrik komponen otomotif dan dan elektronik.
Problem lainnya, 10 km jalan raya Asia di Provinsi tersebut harus ditutup karena banjir dan macet. Kondisi tesebut menghalangi pengiriman komponen, baik untuk domestik atau yang akan dikirim ke negara lain.
Sementara itu, Executive Vice President Honda Thailand, Pitak Pruitttisarikorn, produksi mobil Honda di negara tersebut terpaksa dihentikan sementara waktu, karena ketiadaan pasokan komponen. Ditambahkan, nantinya, pabrik komponen akan bisa mengenjot produksinya untuk menututup kekurangan saat ini.
Pabrik komponen mobil di Thailand di kemungkinan tutup selama 5 hari kerja, mulai Kamis kemarin sampai Selasa besok.
Menurut Suparat Sirisuwanangura, Ketua Umum “the Automotive Industry Club at the Federation of Thai Industries” – juga Senior Vice-President, Generall Affairs dan Technical Research Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineeing and Manufacturing Co. – kalau kondisinya makin memburuk, akan mengimpor komponen dari Indonesia dan Malaysia.
